1. The base structural material is a felt with non-absorptive fibers which has remarkable strength and crush recovery, exceptional breath ability and evaporative drying capability. Two distinct side panels  are created integrally connected by two critically located cross links. Four inner and outer layers are each specially laminated for Riding High and consist of an outer layer of ToughTech™ Mesh bonded to a thin layer of thin breathable Foss felt. Tough tech Mesh is noted for its air transparent anti slip characteristics. The nature of the non slip mesh and the overall construction of the pad system allow, in use, elimination of all material contacting the horse’s spinal ligament providing unique freedom of movement. 
   
   
2. An easily accessible pocket is provided between the outer lamination of each side panel and the inner structure to accommodate two separate custom designed self inflating aircells made exclusively for Riding High by Cascade Designs Co. makers of the famous Thermarest™ products. The design of these easy for rider access valve controlled air cells allows a fit adjustability range of from 1/8 to 1 ¼ inches. All laminations are functionally connected using the highest quality guaranteed materials and workmanship. Strong resistant nylon and other space age fiber elements are used to reinforce the assembly and discourage wear. The resulting total lamination of only 5 /16 of an inch thick maintains extreme breath ability resulting in exceptional cooling while presenting minimal separation between horse and rider. 
   
   
3. Maximum continuous fit  under the saddle tree with a remaining non-ballooning, trapped air suspension system allows additional freedom of motion and shock absorption. The fitting capability of the Thermarest™ aircells corrects Rafter, Rocker and Twist, fit variations in the saddle tree, and in addition, allow the rider to readily correct for differences in the height and shape of both sides of the horses back as well as variations in the riders physiology thereby centering and balancing the combination of horse and rider.
